Principles of Dawah
When old workers who gave time sit back and a new group starts coming into the work, this is a weakness of the work.
Principles to join a saathi:
Deal with softness, forgive, let Allah do the training. Training is Allah’s work, we are only guides.
Mashwara is the bond of collectiveness.
Just as salah has a rank in Islam, mashwara has the same rank in dawah.
Allah mentioned both mashwara and salah in the Quran.
The importance of mashwara is like salah. This action is collective like salah.
Just as salah is for everyone, likewise mashwara is for all.
The one who comes to the masjid, the musalli, has mashwara.
This is a work that will join all classes.
The foundation of our mashwara is not to complete tablighi matters, rather the purpose of mashwara is that the feeling arises in the hearts of the ummah that Allah’s deen is disappearing.
*Mashwara in dawah is like salah*
Mashwara is collective. Just as salah has an imam, likewise mashwara has an amir.
If a wrong decision happens from the amir, then just as the responsibility of salah is on the imam, likewise the responsibility of mashwara is on the amir.
Just as all musallis are under the imam in salah, likewise in mashwara be under the amir.
Take opinion from every saathi, this is necessary.
Taking opinion is like giving a luqma to the imam.
The whole mashwara is like salah. Just as the one who is in salah gives luqma to the imam, the one outside salah does not give luqma to the imam, likewise if anyone wants to give an opinion, he should come into mashwara and say it.
If anyone thinks opinion was not taken from me, then there is pride in him.
Giving opinion is the right of the work. Giving luqma is the right of salah.
Every saathi should think and give opinion, how much of self is mixed in my opinion.
I swear by Allah and say, whoever’s opinion has no self in it, Allah’s decision will be with his opinion.
The one whose opinion is not decided upon should be happy. The one whose opinion is accepted should seek forgiveness.
The harm of mashwara is that personal issues enter the mashwara. There is no collective mashwara for personal things.
The more you free mashwaras for the work, the more the work will move forward.
Recommendation can be an opinion, but it will not be mashwara.
*Sunnahs of worship, sunnahs of habit*
Increase solitude with Allah.
When you finish with dawah, engage in worship.
And when you finish with worship, engage in dua, this is Allah’s command.
Make yourself accepted with Allah.
There are two paths: dawah and worship.
There should be great care for sunnah.
Allah’s help is with sunnah.
The one in whose life there is more sunnah, Allah will put his awe on people.
Sunnahs of dawah, sunnahs of worship, sunnahs of habit.
Make yourself accepted with Allah through sacrifice.
In the effort of deen, one moves forward through sacrifice and connection with Allah.
*Sincerity is necessary in dawah*
Dawah opens doors for generations.
Everything has two sides.
Dawah also has two sides.
As much as sincerity is needed in this work, just as much is istikhlaas, meaning singleness of purpose, needed.
And after doing, say like this: I did nothing, rather I did wrong.
This effort must be saved from ritual.
Every person must think and reflect: what benefit did I get from tabligh, what changed in my self.
Meaning how much did iman increase. What addition happened in deeds, this must be thought.
The one moving in this effort should worry more about himself.
