The Purpose of Tabligh Is to Revive the Effort of the Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him
The purpose of tabligh is to revive the effort of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
The effort has two directions: one is outside effort and the second is local effort.
Local effort is incomplete. When local effort is done fully, all of Allah’s promises will be fulfilled.
The stronger the local work, the more the outside effort will increase.
Due to weakness in local work, saathis who gave time sit back.
If the one who works does not give dawah daily, his iman will be in danger.
Allah opens demands upon those who spend themselves in the locality, in the area, through visiting people.
The masjid jamaat saathis should keep watch on the people living in the locality, when we can take time from these people.
Whoever spends himself in the locality and area for deen, Allah builds his conviction.
A strong mashwara is one in which people of every class are present. For example traders, employees, students, etc.
The real effort is the daily effort, the daily mashwara. The masjid jamaat that spends itself daily for deen, their gasht will be with fikr, not a formal gasht.
The second gasht is where there is no form of effort. Do the second gasht for 5-6 weeks.
The 3-day jamaat that goes will become the one to do local work.
In the 3-day jamaat, give full encouragement for local work. Daily effort is extremely important.
Do mashwara in front of the jamaats that come to the masjid. Support the coming jamaat with full strength and energy. Do not divide jamaats.
*Work of masturat*
The work of masturat is delicate.
The importance of the work of masturat should be the same as the work of men. The effort is deficient if the work of masturat is not done with fikr. The work of masturat is as important as it is delicate.
Taleem at home is an act of guidance.
It is very important to have an environment of Allah’s remembrance and amal in every home. The initial effort at home is to revive taleem.
The masjid jamaat should review the taleem of homes.
When there is taleem among masturat, after taleem the sister who has given time should give strong encouragement. Do not make collective dua.
The easiest way to increase work among masturat is that those who sit in mashwara should themselves give time with their masturat every third month, and then do tashkil of new saathis.
There should be strong care of purdah. Children should not be with them. Better that masturat who have given time are with them.
*Importance of amal will be lost through formality*
One of the basic principles of our work is to understand people. Make the work so easy before the ummah that everyone thinks we can do this work.
There should be simplicity in speech. Speak plainly. Tabligh is the name of actions. Talking is not tabligh.
Talking, delivering lectures is not deen. Deen is the name of amal. Correct amal in eating, in sleeping, in everything, this is deen. Dawah is the name of a collection of actions.
Knowing the occasion, knowing the addressee is very important.
Whoever makes dawah his work, Allah Himself gives him the way to speak.
The biggest loss of the ummah is lack of connection with the ulama, and lack of connection of the ulama with the ummah.
The work of dawah will not happen by force, by compulsion, rather by akhlaq. Hikmah and akhlaq are very important.
When Hazratji, may Allah have mercy on him, and Maulana Saeed Ahmad Khan Sahab, may Allah have mercy on him, met in Madinah, Saeed Ahmad Khan Sahab asked: Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, had a stammer in his speech and was also weak in health, then how did Allah take such a great work from him? What qualities were there? Saying this, he began to think.
Then Maulana Saeed Khan, may Allah have mercy on him, told Maulana Yusuf, may Allah have mercy on him: I have reached this conclusion that Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, had two things: hikmah and akhlaq.
If even a drunkard came to the masjid, Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, would jump up and welcome that drunkard with great joy.

Masha Allah
