Ibratnaak end of killers of hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu
Imaam zahri say, those people who were involved in killing of husain raz, not one of them remained who did not get punishment in world before hereafter. Someone was killed, someone’s face became severely black or disfigured, or within few days country and rule was snatched. And obviously this is not the real punishment of their deeds, rather it is a sample which was shown in world for people to take lesson.
*1- Killer of husain raziyallahu anhu became blind*
Ibne jozi rm narrated that an old man was involved in killing of hazrat husain raz. Suddenly he became blind. People asked reason. He said, i saw rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam in dream with sleeves folded up, sword in hand. And before aap sallallahu alaihivasallam was that leather mat on which someone is killed, and on it bodies of 10 men from killers of husain raz were lying slaughtered. After that aap sallallahu alaihivasallam scolded me and applied a needle of husain raz’s blood to my eyes. In morning when i woke up, i was blind.
*2- Face became black*
Ibne jozi rm narrated, the person who hung hazrat husain raz’s blessed head on his horse’s neck, after that he was seen that his face became black like tar. People asked, you were good looking man among all arab, what happened to you. He said, the day i hung this head on horse’s neck, when i slept a little, i saw two men hold my arms and take me to a blazing fire. And in this state after few days he died.
*3- Burnt in fire*
Ibne jozi rm narrated from sadi that he invited a person. In gathering talk started that whoever was involved in killing of hazrat husain raz, he got punishment soon in world too. That person said, totally wrong. I myself was involved in his killing, nothing happened to me. This person got up from gathering and went home. As soon as he went, while fixing lamp’s wick, fire caught his clothes, and there he was burnt. Sadi says, i myself saw him in morning, he had become coal.
*4- Arrow shooter died thirsty writhing*
The person who shot arrow at hazrat husain raz and did not let drink water, allah ta'ala imposed such thirst on him that thirst did not go away in any way. However much water he drank, he kept writhing with thirst. Here till his stomach burst and he died.
*5- Destruction of yazeed*
After shahadat of husain raziyallahu anhu, yazeed also did not get one day of peace. In all islamic lands demand for blood of martyrs and rebellions started. His life after that did not remain more than 2 years 8 months, and one narration is 3 years 8 months. Allah ta'ala humiliated him in world too and he was destroyed with this humiliation.
*6- Mukhtar’s control over kuffa and ibratnaak destruction of killers of husain raziyallahu anhu*
On killers of husain raz, chain of various calamities was already there. 5 years after the incident, in 66 hijri, mukhtar expressed intention to take revenge from killers. Common muslims joined him. And in short time he got such strength that he got control over kuffa and iraaq. He announced general safety for all except killers of husain raz. And put full force on search and hunt of killers. And arrested one by one and killed. In one day 248 men were killed for this crime. After that search and arrest of special people started.
Amru bin hijaaj ran in thirst and heat, fell unconscious due to thirst and was slaughtered.
Simar ziljoshan who was most wicked and harsh about hazrat husain raz, he was killed and body thrown before dogs.
Abdullah bin used, malik bin basheer, hamal bin maalik were besieged and all were killed. Both hands and both feet of maalik bin basheer were cut and he was thrown in field. He died writhing.
Usman bin khalid and basheer bin shamit had helped in killing of muslim bin aqeel raz. They were killed and burnt.
Amr bin sa'ad who was commanding army against hazrat husain raz, he was killed and his head was brought before mukhtar. Mukhtar also killed his son hafs and said, killing of amr bin sa'ad is in exchange for husain raz, and killing of hafs is in exchange for ali bin husain raz. And reality is that even then equality did not happen. If i kill three fourth of quresh, then also revenge for one finger of hazrat husain raz cannot be taken.
Hakeem bin tufel who shot arrow at hazrat husain raz, his body was made sieve with arrows. Zaid bin rafad was killed by raining arrows and stones, then burnt. Salaam bin anas who tried to cut blessed head, ran from kuffa. His house was demolished.
After knowing this ibratnaak end of killers of husain raziyallahu anhu, involuntarily this ayat came on tongue, translation: punishment is like this only, and punishment of hereafter is bigger than this, if only they understand.
Abdullah bin umereshi says, i saw in kuffa’s palace of imarat, hazrat husain raz’s blessed head placed on a shield before abdullah bin ziyaad. Then in same palace i saw abdullah bin ziyaad’s head before mukhtar. Then in same palace i saw mukhtar’s cut head before moasib bin zubair.
*7- For what purpose did hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu give sacrifice*
You read earlier, hazrat husain raz wrote a letter to ahle basra, some sentences of which are, you people are seeing that sunnat of rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam is being erased, and bid'at is being spread. I invite you that protect kitabullah and sunnate rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam and try to implement its commands.
Some sentences of those words which aap said in answer to farzooq poet on way to kuffa, if divine fate is according to our wish, then we will thank allah rabbul izzat. And in giving thanks also we seek his help, that he grant ability to give thanks. And if divine fate blocks our wish, then that person has no fault whose intention is support of truth and in whose heart is fear of god.
These words of khutba in battlefield, in which standing for allah alone against oppression and force is mentioned, there is no shame in death for any youth, when his intention is good and he is doing jihad being muslim. When son ali akbar said, father, are we not on truth. Aap said, by oath of that being to whom all servants of god return, without doubt we are on truth.
These sentences of aap’s last sayings before ahle bait, i thank allah ta'ala in ease also and in hardship also. O allah, i thank you that you honored us with nobility of prophethood and gave us ears, eyes and heart by which we understand your verses. And you taught us quran and gave understanding of deen. Include us among your thankful servants.
After hearing, reading these khutbas and words, can any muslim still have doubt that this jihad and astonishing sacrifice of hazrat husain raz was for his own rule and power. Very oppressive are those people who declare this sacred personality’s great sacrifice against his explanations as for some worldly honor and power. Reality is that which i wrote in beginning, that all sacrifice of hazrat husain raz was only for this:
Spread law of kitaab and sunnat correctly.
Establish islam’s system of justice anew.
Oppose bid'at of kingship and dictatorship in islam instead of khilafate nabuwwat.
Do not be impressed by show of force and wealth against truth, and fear of life, wealth and children should not block in that path. In every fear, hardship, difficulty, remember allah every time. And have trust and reliance on him in every condition. And prove to be his thankful servants even in biggest hardship.
Is there anyone who hears this call of liver piece of rasool sallallahu alaihivasallam and gets ready to fulfill his mission on his footsteps. Make following of his good character the purpose of his life. O allah grant us all complete love and complete following of yourself and your rasool sallallahu alaihivasallam and aap’s ashaab raziyallahu anhum and ahle bait athaar.
