Reflections on Life, Gratitude, Relationships, and the Mercy of Allah
One becomes upset only with those in whom they have trust, believing that they will reconcile and that things will be made right. When all trust is lost, there is no room left for anger. Those who find it difficult to maintain a relationship with you, try to make their difficulties easier. How long can we live a life of happiness and peace by causing pain to others? Time changes everything, and situations can turn around in an instant.
Selfish relationships are like coal. When coal is hot, it burns your hand, and when it is cold, it leaves your hand stained black. We only consider a woman worthy of respect when she belongs to our own household. Otherwise, many people fail to see her as a human being and instead view her merely as an object of desire, like dogs standing outside a butcher’s shop with their eyes fixed on the meat. Why is it that we always remember those things from the past that caused us pain? How wonderful it would be if we remembered the moments that brought us happiness. Life would be so much more peaceful if we did.
Allah, the Lord of Majesty, shapes a person’s destiny according to His wisdom. He alone decides what to give and what not to give. Whatever is meant for you will reach you, whether you strive for it or not. And whatever is not meant for you will never be yours, no matter how hard you try to obtain it. The surprising thing is that a foolish person often grieves over what was never destined for them, while failing to appreciate or give thanks for the blessings they already possess.
Always pray to Allah for a companion whose heart is filled with love for Him. The one who truly loves Allah will honor you and love you sincerely as well. Whoever humiliates a Muslim in a place where their honor is being violated, Allah will humiliate that person in a place where they will desperately need His help. Material wealth has become common today, but the wealth of the heart is a blessing that Allah grants to only a few. May Allah bless us with richness of heart. Ameen, O Lord of the worlds.
As soon as you enter this world after birth, the cord through which you received nourishment in your mother’s womb is cut. Yet its mark remains with you for life, reminding you of that great person—your mother—who nourished you from her own body. Allah is the One who gives, but many times people unknowingly ask for things that may bring them harm. A mother never wants her child to play with fire, and Allah’s love and mercy are far greater than that of seventy mothers.
Opportunities and honor are given to those who prove themselves worthy. Those who search sincerely often discover new paths, new possibilities, and a new world of opportunities.
Determination carries tremendous power. When a person truly decides to achieve something and begins working toward it with sincerity, while placing complete trust in themselves and in Allah, Allah opens doors of ease and creates opportunities for success. There is hardly any goal that remains impossible for the one who combines effort with faith and perseverance.
Remember that even a single drop of water, falling continuously upon a stone, eventually leaves its mark. Never step back from a task simply because it seems beyond your ability. Keep trying, keep striving, and keep asking Allah for help. With patience and persistence, success can be achieved by His permission.
Never destroy someone else's happiness in order to create your own. A happiness built upon another person's tears is not true happiness at all. Real joy is that which brings goodness to both yourself and others.
If you could truly understand how Allah arranges your affairs, solves your problems, and guides your life in ways you often cannot see, your heart would overflow with love and gratitude for Him.
How fortunate I am to be a Muslim. If I greet someone with peace, I earn a reward. If I smile at another person, I earn a reward. If I begin a task by saying "Bismillah," I earn a reward. If I intend to do something good, I earn a reward. If I control my anger, I earn a reward. If I follow the Sunnah in my daily actions, I earn a reward. If I look at my parents with kindness and respect, I earn immense blessings. Islam fills even the simplest moments of life with opportunities for goodness. All praise and thanks belong to Allah for the blessing of being a Muslim.
It is not necessary for the person advising you to be perfect. Often, they are simply trying to share something beneficial that may help you become a better version of yourself. Wisdom should be valued regardless of who delivers it.
Shed tears, and shed them often—not because every desire of yours is not fulfilled, but because of how deeply attached and dependent you may have become upon your desires. Self-reflection is a path toward spiritual growth.
No matter how difficult your situation may be, there are always people facing hardships greater than yours. Looking at those who endure even greater struggles should inspire gratitude and patience. Thankfulness helps make the journey of life easier to bear.
Do not constantly compare yourself with those who possess more wealth, status, or comfort than you. Such comparisons often lead to dissatisfaction and ingratitude. Instead, look at those who have less than you and thank Allah for the blessings and opportunities He has granted you. Gratitude brings contentment, while endless comparison brings restlessness.
A noble man gives a woman not only love but also respect. Love may be expressed on special occasions, but respect should be present at all times and in all places. Respect protects dignity, strengthens relationships, and creates lasting trust. While love is important, respect is what preserves the honor and value of a relationship.
Many people become blinded by emotions in matters of love. Sometimes they place complete trust in individuals who have never truly belonged to them. Wisdom requires a person to balance feelings with understanding, sincerity with caution, and affection with good judgment. Love should never cause someone to lose their self-respect, dignity, or ability to see reality clearly.
When someone truly loves you, they are not concerned with how many times you ignored them. Whenever you return to them, they welcome you with sincerity, warmth, and a pure heart.
This is one of the reasons why returning to Allah is so comforting. No matter how many mistakes a person has made, when they sincerely turn back to Allah, they find Him ready to accept their repentance. It is as if He has always been waiting for His servant to return. A single tear shed in sincere remorse can become a means for countless sins to be forgiven.
When a person crosses the limits set by Allah, Allah does not immediately seize them with punishment. Yet those very violations often become the cause of deep pain, brokenness, and hardship in life. Then, when the servant finally turns back to Allah, it is He alone who heals the wounds, restores the heart, and grants peace once again.
If a deceased person were to return from the grave and inform the living only about the intensity and reality of death, many people would forget their luxuries and worldly distractions. Their nights would become restless as they prepared for the inevitable meeting with their Lord. May Allah protect us from the hardships and difficulties of death and grant us a good ending. Ameen.
After the words of Nikah are spoken and a marital bond is established, a woman makes an extraordinary sacrifice. She leaves behind her parents, siblings, relatives, childhood memories, and the comfort of her familiar home. She enters a new environment, a new household, and begins a life with a person who was once a stranger. She commits herself to building a future with her husband. Should such a sacrifice not be appreciated and respected?
Imagine if the situation were reversed and a man were asked to leave his parents, family, home, and everything familiar to begin life elsewhere after marriage. It would undoubtedly be a difficult task. Therefore, a husband should recognize the sacrifice his wife has made, treat her with kindness, respect her feelings, and love her sincerely. Such love and care can make her feel truly at home and valued.
How unfortunate is the person who strives to provide every worldly comfort for his wife and children but neglects to protect them from the Fire of Hell. Material comforts are important, but spiritual guidance and religious upbringing are even more important.
Those who work tirelessly to provide worldly ease for their families should also think about providing them with the means to attain Paradise. Teaching faith, encouraging prayer, nurturing good character, and guiding loved ones toward righteousness are among the greatest gifts a person can offer.
Remember that on the Day of Judgment, every person will be questioned about those under their care. Questions will be asked regarding one's spouse, children, and family responsibilities. Therefore, every believer should prepare an answer by fulfilling these trusts with sincerity and devotion. May Allah make us among those who live according to His guidance. Ameen.
For the peace of my heart, it is enough to know that whatever happens occurs by the Will of Allah, not by the approval or disapproval of people.
For the strength of my faith, it is enough to know that sincere supplication can change what appears impossible and that Allah is too Generous to turn away a servant who raises their hands to Him with sincerity and hope.
For my trust and confidence, it is enough to know that I have placed my decisions, desires, and future in the Hands of Allah. When matters are entrusted to Him, there remains no reason for despair.
O Allah, the night has arrived, the stars have appeared, and the kings of this world have closed their doors, yet Your Door remains open. I stand before You seeking Your mercy and forgiveness.
O Allah, just as You prevent the sky from falling upon the earth, protect me from the influence and deception of Shaytan. Keep me firm upon guidance, surround me with Your mercy, and grant me forgiveness in this world and the Hereafter. Ameen.
