Describe Imaniyat with the Signs of Iman
Describe imaniyat with the signs of iman.
In imaniyat let these things be more: introduce Allah to Allah’s servants, tell of Allah’s power, tell of Allah’s greatness. Narrate the incidents of the prophets. Narrate the unseen help given to the sahaba. From these the conviction in Allah’s promises will be born.
If someone comes to the masjid, include him in the effort immediately.
In us today, listening and telling incidents of elders and miracles is liked more, but the harm is that miracles of elders bring conviction in personalities, while incidents of the help given to sahaba create conviction in Allah’s promises.
Narrating miracles is not our subject. By narrating unseen help, the ummah will stand on actions.
Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, would raise gatherings with conviction in actions.
Those who do not populate the masjid are not people of conviction.
If there are not 8 saathis for dawah, taleem, istikbaal, and we wait for 8 to be complete, this is a sign of not doing the work.
Allah will be merciful to, give ease to, and be pleased with the one who populates the masjid. He will pass him over the Bridge of Sirat, and enter him into Jannah.
Where the procedure dominates and the importance is less, difference will arise.
*Prove it through your own self*
We should practice our salah.
Our work is not just to call the ummah toward salah, rather to make them practice it.
We must prove through our own self that we are progressing in actions through dawah.
There should be great care for tahajjud. By praying tahajjud, Allah will help in the day’s work.
Before true dawn, recite the Quran by looking. Allah will make you His friend, but only when there is care for sunnahs.
Do azkaar-e-husna. Do the morning and evening deeds with punctuality.
There should be care for Allah’s remembrance in solitude. Do Allah’s remembrance with attention, with wudu, in solitude. If Allah’s remembrance is done without attention, this is innovation and forbidden, Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, used to say.
*In dawah there is good social conduct*
In dawah there is good social conduct and it has no equal. These are the ways of the prophets.
Good social conduct means good behavior with people.
Make people understand Allah’s power, not your status.
A da’i is one who joins people.
Maulana Ilyas, may Allah have mercy on him, never said: come, I will tell you principles and manners. Rather he used to say: there is one work I am engaged in, I know a few principles and manners, Allah is the one doing it.
Good social conduct will make people understand the work and digest the work.
The real thing is that people begin to love the work and those who do the work.
Hazrat Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, was very strict, but he was strict about Allah’s command, never strict with people.
Never think that there is no one wiser than me.
It is necessary to use abilities, do not take work out of favoritism. Take from each the work according to his ability.
Just talking is not enough. Let no one’s evil enter anyone’s heart.
The thing born from the work of the Prophet is good social conduct.
Every worker should have good social conduct with every Muslim.
*We are people of the ummah*
Whoever considers himself a tabligh jamaat person is mistaken. We are people of the ummah.
Leave ideologies, leave sects, keep the relation of iman. Good social conduct is among the virtues of dawah.
Give dawah with virtues, not just with principles. There should be virtue in our intention too.
A da’i has good action, and good action is that which is according to sunnah.
Good intention, good action, good character, all are necessary.
Allah did not send any prophet who did not have good character. Read the seerah of the prophets, how they dealt with character. Good character is the quality of a da’i.
Good opinion is also necessary. Have good opinion of Allah too.
In deeni society, suspicion is impermissible.
If you have good opinion about people, you will be able to pull people toward Allah.
It is necessary for the mind to be clean.
Good manner of speech is needed. If there is a way of speaking, the other person will even admit his mistake. There should be a way to explain.
In the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, someone asked him permission for zina. By the Prophet’s way of explaining, he understood, and the Prophet, peace be upon him, did not consider him low, rather he made dua for him.
