At that time aap’s thirst had reached the limit. Aap went near river faraat to drink water. Cruel husen bin nameer aimed at aap’s face and shot an arrow which hit aap and blood started flowing from the blessed mouth. Inna lillahi va inna ilayhi raajioun.
Shimar with 10 men advanced toward hazrat husain raz. Despite severe thirst and wounds, aap were fighting them bravely. Whichever side aap moved, they were seen running. When shimar saw that everyone avoids killing hazrat husain raz, he shouted, all attack together. On this many unfortunate ones came forward. They attacked together with spears and swords. And this son of rasulullah, best of allah’s creation on earth, fighting bravely was martyred. Inna lillahi va inna ilayhi raajioun.
Shimar told khola bin yazeed to cut his head. But his hand trembled. Then wretched badbakht sannan bin anas did the deed. When aap’s body was seen, there were 33 spear wounds, 34 sword wounds. Fa raziyallahu anhum va arzah varzuqna hubba va hab min vaalidah. After finishing with killing of hazrat husain raz and ahle bait, these oppressors turned toward hazrat ali asgar zenul abideen raz. Shimar also wanted to kill him. Hameed bin muslim said, you kill a child when he is also ill. So shimar left him. Amr bin sa'ad said, no one go near tents of women and no one touch this sick child.
Ibne ziyaad’s order was that after killing, trample the body with horses’ hooves. Those oppressors did this too.
*Grief and pain of karbala incident*
Every kalma go, whether shia or sunni, has immense grief and pain from this horrific and painful incident. No one who is not saddened by hazrat husain raz’s oppression. Despite about 1374 years passing, no one could forget this incident. Its memory stays fresh in our chests.
*Difference in ways of expressing grief*
Ahle sunnat wal jama'at, despite keeping this painful incident in their chest, like a brave dignified person do not let go of seriousness. Whereas against this, shia people turned away from sunnat to express this grief and pain and on 10th muharram adopted that way of expressing grief which is unlawful and haraam, by which muslims’ beliefs get corrupted. Shia people’s weak natured leaders hide truth for their benefit and ignore results of akhirat.
Sad is that today many of our sunni brothers also are following them and ruining their akhirat.
*Decision of ulama ahle sunnat about taaziyadari*
Hazrat shah abdul aziz rh muhaddis dehlvi writes in fatawa azizi printed muztabai, page 74,
Taaziyadari is bid'at and bid'at of shia, and bid'at of shia involves those who join it in god’s curse. And his faraiz and nawafil also are not accepted in divine court.
Going to marsiya khwani gathering with intention of ziyarat and crying is also not allowed. Because there is no ziyarat there for which a person should go. And taaziya made of wood are not worthy of ziyarat rather worthy of erasing.
Visiting taaziya’s taboot and reading fatiha on it and reading marsiya and listening to book and crying out and crying, beating chest, wounding oneself in mourning of imam husain raziyallahu anhu, all these things are shar'an not allowed. Fatawa azizi printed muztabai, page 155.
It is duty of us muslims to avoid participating in taaziya procession and save our family also. Stopping every muslim from this bid'at and ignorance is duty of all of us. May allah grant all ahle imaan understanding of truth. Aameen ya rabbul aalameen.

*Taaziya and alam*
Taking out taaziya with alam in month of muharram and reading marsiya with it, joining procession and offering chadhawa and setting up sabeel of nazre husain, drinking it and giving to drink and considering it reward, all these acts are bid'at and not allowed and are slogan of rawafiz. Participation in them is also not allowed.
*Playing sticks and shows in front of taaziya*
Playing sticks and other shows played in front of taaziyas’ processions in muharram month are baseless and not allowed shar'an. This is rawafiz’s way. Not proven from hazrat ali raziyallahu anhu.
*Mannat of taaziya*
Mannat of taaziya is not correct. Those elders who started making it by taking mannat were on mistake and became sinners due to this act. And following it is not allowed for you. Do not make taaziya etc at all. Leave it completely.
Having belief that if we do not make taaziya then some life or wealth loss will happen, with such beliefs imaan does not remain safe.
Making taaziya and offering nazar niyaaz on it, asking mannat from it is haraam and shirk. Whatever sadaqa khairat is to be done, do purely for god as per shari'at. By offering on taaziya and asking mannat from it and feeding food in name of other than allah, that food also becomes not allowed. Its reward does not happen rather sin happens.
*Isaale sawaab and acts against islam*
Holding gatherings in ayyame muharram, cooking khichda in names of imams, giving sharbat to drink, making one’s children faqeer of imams putting faqiri, all these acts are against teaching of islam and are cause of displeasure of allah ta'ala and his true rasool sallallahu alaihivasallam. Repentance from all is necessary.
To convey sawaab, feeding food to poor needy, or giving cash, or reading qurane paak or doing any worship to send sawaab to dead, without fixing any date or form, is shar'an allowed.
*Meaning of panjtan paak*
Including huzur sallallahu alaihivasallam, hazrat ali, hazrat fatima, hazrat hasan and hazrat husain raziyallahu anhum together and calling panjatan paak, if meaning of panjatan paak is that status and rank of all is united, then this is wrong.
*Hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu and his companions’ blessed heads before ibne ziyaad*
After end of battle, count of killed was done. Among companions of hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu, 72 hazraat were martyred and 88 soldiers of amr bin sa'ad’s army were killed. Hazrat husain raz and his companions were buried after 2 days.
Khola bin yazeed and hameed bin muslim took heads of these hazraat and went to kuffa and presented before ibne ziyaad. Ibne ziyaad gathered all and placed heads in front and started touching hazrat husain raz’s blessed mouth with a stick. Zaid bin arqam raziyallahu anhu could not bear and said, remove the stick from these blessed lips. By oath of that being besides whom there is no god, i saw rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam kissing these lips. Saying this he cried. Ibne ziyaad said, if you were not old, i would have cut your neck too. Hazrat zaid bin arqam raz came out saying, o nation of arab, you killed daughter of sayyadunnisa fatma’s son and made marjana’s son your ameer. He will kill your good people and make evil ones slaves. What happened to you that you agreed on this humiliation.
*Remaining ahle bait in kuffa*
Amr bin sa'ad, 2 days later, reached kuffa with remaining ahle bait and presented all before ibne ziyaad. Ibne ziyaad also intended to kill hazrat ali asghar raz. Hazrat ali asghar raz said, who will be caretaker of these women after me. Here hazrat zenab raz, his aunt, clung to him and said, o ibne ziyaad, is your thirst not yet quenched with our blood. I give you oath of god, if you kill him then kill us also with him. Ali asghar raz said, o ibne ziyaad, if there is any kinship between you and these women, then send with them some righteous pious muslim who accompanies them as per islam’s teaching. Hearing this ibne ziyaad said, okay leave this boy that he himself go with his women.
After this ibne ziyaad gave a khutba after a prayer in which he did abuse and insult of hazrat husain raz, hazrat ali raz. In that gathering was a blind sahabi abdullah bin afeef azdi raz. He stood up and said, o ibne ziyaad, you are liar son of liar. You kill children of prophets and make talks of siddiqeen. Ibne ziyaad wanted to arrest him but people of his tribe stood up, so he left him.
