Blessed head was paraded in kuffa’s markets
Ibne ziyaad’s cruelty did not stop at this. Rather he ordered that hazrat husain raz’s blessed head be placed on a wood and paraded in kuffa’s markets and streets. After this it was sent to mulke shaam to yazeed. And with it women and children were also sent.
In greed for reward, har bin qais reached yazeed with news of victory and described details of maidane karbala. Hearing this condition, tears flowed from yazeed’s eyes and he said, i wanted only this much obedience from you that you arrest without killing. May allah ta'ala curse ibne sumaiya ibne ziyaad. He killed them. By god if i was there, i would have forgiven. May allah ta'ala have mercy on husain raz.
When blessed head was placed before yazeed, in yazeed’s hand was a stick and he started moving the stick on hazrat husain raz’s teeth and reciting poetry, our nation did not do justice for us, so our blood shedding swords did justice, who split heads of such men who were hard on us and they were relation cutting oppressors. Hazrat abu barza aslami raziyallahu anhu was also present there. Aap said, o yazeed, you put your stick on hazrat husain raz’s teeth, and i saw rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam kissing them. O yazeed, on day of qayamat you will come, then your intercessor will be ibne ziyaad, and when hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu will come, his intercessor will be muhammad mustfa sallallahu alaihivasallam. Saying this abu barza raz left the gathering.
*Mourning in yazeed’s house*
When yazeed’s wife hindah binte abdullah heard that hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu was killed and his blessed head has been brought, she came out covering with sheet and said, o amirul momineen, was this matter done with son of daughter of rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam. He said, may god destroy ibne ziyaad. He hurried and killed. Hindah hearing cried.
Women, children were brought before yazeed and blessed head was placed in the gathering. When both daughters of hazrat husain raz, fatima and sakina raziyallahu anhuma, saw their father’s head, they involuntarily cried and voice came out. Hearing their voice, yazeed’s women also screamed and in yazeed’s house a mourning was set up.
*Return of ahle bait to madina*
After this ahle bait were sent toward madina with protection. When news of killing of hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu and his companions reached madina, there was uproar in madina. Doors and walls of madina were crying. And when remaining members of ahle bait reached madina, wounds of madina people became fresh.
*At time of shahadat, huzur sallallahu alaihivasallam was seen in dream*
Behqi wrote in dalail with chain, hazrat abdullah bin abbas raziyallahu anhu saw one night huzur sallallahu alaihivasallam in dream. It was noon time. Aap had disheveled hair, distressed state. In aap’s hand was a bottle in which was blood. Ibne abbas raz says, i asked, what is in this. Said, it is blood of husain. I will present it before allah ta'ala. Hazrat ibne abbas raz right then informed people that husain raz has been martyred. A few days after this dream, news of shahadat arrived. And when calculated, it was exactly same day and same time of aap’s shahadat.
Tirmizi narrated from sulmi that one day he went to hazrat umme salma raziyallahu anha. She was crying. I asked, then she said, i saw rasulullah sallallahu alaihivasallam in dream like this that dust was on aap’s blessed head and blessed beard. I asked, what is this condition. Said, i was just now present at killing of husain.
Abu naiem in dalail narrated from hazrat umme salma raziyallahu anha that at killing of hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu, i saw jinnat crying.
*What should be our action*
If mention of hazrat husain raziyallahu anhu’s being and qualities comes, then we will without doubt bow head and will consider walking headlong on his footsteps also imaan and fortune. And if yazeed and his like with faults and defects come before us, then understanding real truth, we will consider adopting silence as reasonable feeling. Now his matter is with allah ta'ala, not with us.
