ایک بہن کا سوال کہ اذان کے وقت سر پہ دوپٹہ رکھنا ضروری ہے

*Is it necessary for women to cover their heads during Adhan (Call to Prayer)?*

No, it is *not obligatory (fardh)* for a woman to cover her head during the Adhan. However, it is considered an *act of respect and good manners (adab)*. There is *no authentic hadith* that makes it compulsory, but some scholars and elders have recommended it out of reverence for the remembrance of Allah.

*Evidence & Explanation:*

1. *Adhan is a Sign of Allah’s Greatness*  

   The words of Adhan declare the greatness of Allah:  

   *“Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar…”*  

   Listening with respect is a sign of piety.

2. *Qur’an says:*  

   _"Whoever honours the symbols of Allah, it is truly from the piety of the hearts."_  

   — *(Surah Al-Hajj 22:32)*  

   Covering the head during Adhan is seen by many scholars as a way of honoring Allah’s remembrance.

3. *Scholars' View:*  

   - Mufti Taqi Usmani: "Covering the head at Adhan is not compulsory, but it is a matter of respect."  

   - Darul Uloom Deoband: "It is not sinful to leave the head uncovered, but doing so out of reverence is better."

*Conclusion:*  

It is *not sinful* for a woman to leave her head uncovered during Adhan, but *covering the head is recommended* as a sign of respect and piety.

*اردو ترجمہ:*  

اذان کے وقت سر پر دوپٹہ لینا فرض یا واجب نہیں ہے، لیکن ادب اور احترام کے لحاظ سے یہ ایک پسندیدہ (مستحب) عمل ہے۔  

*دلائل اور وضاحت:*

*1. اذان کا مقام:*  

اذان میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی بڑائی اور عظمت بیان کی جاتی ہے، جیسے:  

*"اللہ اکبر، اللہ اکبر..."*  

لہٰذا، اللہ کے ذکر کے وقت ادب و احترام اختیار کرنا ایک اچھی بات ہے۔

*2. قرآن کی روشنی میں:*  

*"ذَٰلِكَ وَمَن يُعَظِّمْ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ فَإِنَّهَا مِن تَقْوَى ٱلْقُلُوبِ"*  

*“اور جو شخص اللہ کی نشانیوں کی تعظیم کرتا ہے، تو یہ دلوں کے تقویٰ میں سے ہے”*  

— (سورہ الحج: 32)

*3. حدیث سے اشارہ:*  

صحابیات قرآن کی تلاوت یا نماز کے وقت سر ڈھانپ لیا کرتی تھیں، جس سے اندازہ ہوتا ہے کہ اللہ کے ذکر کے وقت سر ڈھانپنا ادب و احترام کی علامت ہے۔

*4. علما کی رائے:*  

- *مفتی تقی عثمانی:* اذان کے وقت سر ڈھانپنا شریعت میں لازم نہیں، لیکن ادب کی خاطر بہتر عمل ہے۔  

- *دارالعلوم دیوبند:* اذان کے وقت دوپٹہ لینا ایک مستحب عمل ہے، نہ لینے پر گناہ نہیں۔

*نتیجہ:*  

اذان کے وقت سر ڈھانپنا ضروری نہیں، لیکن ادب اور اللہ کی عظمت کے لحاظ سے بہتر اور باعثِ اجر ہے

Azaan ke waqt aurat ka dupatta lena *farz ya wajib nahi hai*, lekin *adab* aur *Allah ke zikr ka hurmat* rakhne ke liye *behtar aur afzal* hai.

Agar aurat is waqt sir dhak leti hai, to ye uske taqwa aur adab ka izhar hai — lekin agar nahi karti, to is par gunaah nahi likha jata.

- *Darul Uloom Deoband* ka fatwa bhi kehta hai:  

  *Azaan ke waqt dupatta lena ek adab hai, lekin is ka na lena gunaah nahi.*
