Special Emphasis on Prayer for Women
Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When a woman prays the five daily prayers, fasts in Ramadan, guards her chastity, and obeys her husband, she may enter Paradise through any gate she wishes.
_Mishkat 186, narrated from Abu Naim_
*Explanation:* This blessed Hadith gives women glad tidings of Paradise for doing a few deeds. Every Muslim woman must act upon them.
First, it commands the five daily prayers. Prayer is obligatory five times a day for every adult man and woman. All Muslims know these five times.
Whether in hardship or illness, travel or at home, sorrow or joy, in every situation and place, praying five times daily is mandatory.
Today is an age of disobedience. People neglect Allah’s commands and remain soaked in sins. Very few men and women worry about following Allah’s orders.
When parents are negligent, children also become irreligious.
Many homes exist where no one prays at any time in 24 hours. No supplication is made, and the declaration of faith is never on their tongues.
How sad that entire homes are empty of Allah’s remembrance. Looking at the condition, whole neighborhoods seem filled with those disobedient to God.
Walk through any street and you hear songs, but you do not hear a child reciting the Quran. Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
