Whoever sets out to seek knowledge, his sins are forgiven Hazrat ali raziyallahu anhu narrates that rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "When a servant wears shoes or leather socks or any clothing while seeking knowledge, then allah ta'ala forgives his sins until he reaches the threshold of his house," Tabrani, 1/105
Angels stop flying out of respect for the seeker of knowledge, and all creation prays for forgiveness for the scholar of deenHazrat abu huraira raziyallahu anhu says I heard rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam saying, "Whoever walks on a path to gain knowledge, because of it allah ta'ala will make the path to jannah easy for him. And pleased with his action, the angels lower their wings for the seeker of knowledge, meaning they stop flying and stand. And for the scholar, all the creation of the heavens and all the creation of the earth pray for forgiveness, even the fish in the water. And the superiority of a scholar over a worshipper is like the superiority of the moon over the rest of the stars. And indeed the ulema are the inheritors of the prophets, and the prophets alaihimus salam do not leave dinars and dirhams as inheritance, they leave knowledge as inheritance. So whoever acquired knowledge has acquired great good," Tirmizi, 2/93
Do good deeds at the beginning and end of the day, the sins in between are forgiven
Whoever begins the day with a good deed and ends the day with a good deed, about him allah ta'ala says to the angels, "Do not record the sins of the middle portion of his day,"
Kanzul amaal, 15/781
Whoever does good deeds in the future, his past sins are forgiven
Hazrat rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "Whoever does good deeds in the rest of his future life, his past sins will be forgiven. And whoever spends the rest of his future life in evil deeds and heedlessness, he will be held accountable for both his past days and remaining days,"
Kanzul amaal, 2/244
Do good deeds and avoid major sins, minor sins will be forgivenHazrat abu huraira raziyallahu anhu narrates that rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam said, "By the One in whose hand is my life, there is no servant who prays the five prayers, fasts in ramadan, pays zakat, and avoids major sins, except that the eight gates of jannah will be opened for him on the day of qayamah." Then rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam recited this ayah, "Translation: If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your minor sins,"Kanzul amaal, 15/
